LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's own "Top Chef" is at it again, this time he's putting an Asian twist on southern bar food.
Chef Edward Lee opened up his new restaurant to us. It's much different than the fine dining you find at 610 Magnolia.
Chef Lee is showing us another side of him through his newest venture, MilkWood.
"We wanted to do something that was more fun casual, that's kinda my alter ego," said Lee.
Milkwood sits right in the middle of Main Street, yet it's masked by Actors Theater. Actors theater partnered with Chef Lee to open the restaurant in February. It plays on the creativity of the theater's productions. Even the name was inspired by the play, Under Milk Wood.
"We want to offer something as great and creative as actors theater has been doing for years and years," said Lee.
He says the food is simple yet satisfying.
"It's the food that we crave the food that chefs like to eat at the end of the night," said Lee.
