JCPS bus involved in crash on Six Mile Lane

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There were no serious injuries in a crash involving JCPS bus #0447 and an SUV this morning.

It happened just before 7 a.m. at Six Mile Lane and Brook Hollow Drive.

Latonya Marks says she was turning on to Brookhollow Drive to drop her daughter off at the bus stop when the bus hit her as it pulled out on to Six Mile Lane.

"I was just turning in to drop my daughter off at her school bus stop and I had my blinker on," Marks said. "He said he saw me, but he didn't see me. He thinks the sun kind of hit his eyes."

Marks said the driver apologized for hitting her. She was treated at the scene for abrasions caused by broken glass.

According to JCPS spokesman Ben Jackey, there were five students from Male High School on the bus. No one on the bus was injured.
