VERSAILLES, Ky. (AP) - Police say a 5-year-old boy died and four other people were injured when their car was struck by a vehicle going the wrong way on U.S. 60 in Woodford County.
In a written statement, Versailles police say 5-year-old Blake Cohorn died at the scene Sunday night.
Police say 26-year-old Alfonso Diaz-Diaz drove his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta west bound into the east bound lane around 9:55 p.m. EST and struck a 1999 Chevy Lumina driven by 26-year-old Rocky Cohorn of Lexington.
Police said they suspect alcohol could have caused Diaz-Diaz to cross lanes.
Rocky Cohorn and passenger, 23-year-old Wendy Cohorn, were taken to University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment.
Others injured, 26-year-old Donny Cohorn, 3-year-old Katlyn Cohorn and 4-1/2-month-old Landon Cohorn were transported to Frankfort Regional Hospital for their injuries..
