LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky Derby Festival event calls on chefs to create their favorite dishes.
Hundreds of people were expected to tap into their sweet tooths and palates at tonight's The Slice.
This is the 11th year for the fundraiser, which showcases homemade desserts, wine and cuisine.
Among the featured items, bourbon candies, the creations of Robyn Stuart.
"I think it's unique because you get a taste of southern food. And then you have uniqueness thrown in. its fun relaxing, it's a kick off to Derby it gets your blood pumping and ready for next weekend," said Stuart.
The money raised at this event benefits organizations helping people in Portland and West Louisville.
