FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- Fort Wayne police say a man's body has been pulled from the St. Joseph River. Officer Raquel Foster says the body was found Sunday at Shoaff Park in the city.
A Fort Wayne Fire Department dive team had searched a pond in Shoaff Park for a missing person Thursday and Friday after finding an unoccupied car at the park. The owner of the car had been reported missing by family members on Monday. However, it's not clear if the body recovered from the river is that of the missing man.
Foster says foul play isn't suspected.
On Monday, a 52-year-old man died after being pulled from the St. Mary's River in Fort Wayne. The victim was initially revived by emergency crews but later died of asphyxia due to drowning.
