LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a woman is behind bars after she brutally attacked her friend, causing life-threatening injuries.
According to an arrest report, 49-year-old Cynthia Meeker beat Heidi Bunn in the head with a sharp weapon so badly Bunn's skull was exposed. Police say Bunn suffered from a deep cut from the back of her head to her forehead.
Police say when they arrived at the scene, Bunn identified Meeker as the person who attacked her. Meeker was found inside Bunn's home sitting on the couch covered in blood, and police say when they approached Meeker she admitted that she had hit Bunn multiple times.
Bunn was taken to University Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Meeker was arrested, and charged with first degree assault.
