LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Batter up in Pink!

On Monday morning, Louisville Slugger made hot pink bats for Major League Players. It's in honor of Mother's Day.

The bats were turned and dipped at the factory.

They'll be used on Sunday by players like Justin Upton, Josh Hamilton, David Wright and more than 300 other players. After the Mother's Day games, players will autograph the bats.

Rick Redman of Louisville Slugger said, "This particular bat I'm holding here is one for Justin Upton. And this bat will probably be worth a lot of money in a couple of weeks because Justin Upton leads Major League Baseball with 12 homeruns. We hope maybe he'll hit a home run with this bat on Mother's Day."

MLB will authenticate and collect the game-used bats and auction them on MLB.com.

Louisville Slugger has donated over 250-thousand dollars worth of bats to raise awareness and money for charities.  Proceeds will benefit breast cancer charities.
