LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The parents of two JCPS students have hit a homerun in their fight to get their girls back on the softball field.
A judge has blocked a ruling from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, which means Doug and Roseann Mercer's daughters can play softball.
The parents claim their girls were bullied, manipulated and abused by coaches when they were part of the softball team at PRP High School.
They transferred to Ballard before the start of this school year, but state rules stopped them from participating in varsity sports.
A judge granted a restraining order from that ruling, allowing the girls to play.
