LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a complaint of sexual misconduct involving a teacher and a male student at Frederick Fraize High School in Cloverport, Ky.
Officers have not made any arrests, and their investigation is ongoing, said state police spokesman, Tpr. Norman Chaffins on Tuesday afternoon.
He was not able to speak about other details of the investigation.
Cloverport Independent Schools superintendent John Millay, in an email to WDRB News, said "We were notified that an employee was under investigation. ... "(W)e have placed an employee on investigative leave, pending completion of the investigation."
Millay's email did not confirm the employee is a teacher. He also said there have been no arrests in the case.
"Safety for students and staff is always our number one concern," Millay said. "As this is a personnel issue, confidentiality is required, and we cannot comment any further."
Cloverport is in far western Breckinridge County, about 80 miles southwest of Louisville.
