McDonald's closes to make way for Ohio River Bridge project
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a sign of progress: a popular McDonald's location is closing for good to make way for a new bridge.
This McDonald's off of Exit Zero in Jeffersonville is being demolished to make way for the new downtown crossing that will be next to the Kennedy Bridge.
The downtown bridge is one part of the massive Ohio River Bridges Project.
The golden "M" is being taken down, and a sign says it's permanently closed.
A nearby Waffle House will also come down.
