Three Kentucky universities receive boost for future teachers

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville, Western Kentucky University, and Eastern Kentucky University are getting a boost to help future teachers.

The Council on Post-secondary Education awarded the schools a total of $1.5 million.  The money will be used to develop model programs that will prepare future teachers for their careers.

U of L is partnering with JCPS for the program.  It will get half a million dollars for its teacher education and training program.
