LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More 10,000 students from 37 states are in Louisville this weekend with their focus on the bullseye.
The National Archery in Schools tournament is underway at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
This is considered the largest archery tournament in the world.
For many, it gives students a chance to compete in a sport.
The program touts that it helps increase students' confidence, focus and improves behavior.
"I like to shoot archery because I'm not very good at very many other sports. I figured why not," says Zackary Gillogly.
The tournament will award scholarships to four boys and four girls totaling more than $50-thousand dollars.
