LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a burglar who tried to cash winning lottery tickets he stole from a local gas station.

According to an arrest report, a Clark gas station in Louisville was robbed on May 12.  Police say 20-year-old Travis Cress entered the gas station by breaking a glass door. While inside, he allegedly took cash, cartons of Marlboro cigarettes and several loose Kentucky Lottery tickets.

The incident was captured on surveillance video.

Police say one or more of the stolen lottery tickets had winning numbers, and Cress later tried to cash them at another location. That incident was also captured on surveillance video, according to police.

Cress was arrested at his home Wednesday afternoon and charged with burglary.
