Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest will celebrate spring with BloomFest on Saturday, May 18. The annual event will feature nature, color, art, music and creativity.
Children and their families can experience the Woodland Faerie Village. Visitors of all ages can dressed up for the springtime costume parade at 1:30 p.m. Kids can also try their hand making vine crowns and bamboo wants. Kids can also check out hands-on nature discovery stations.
BloomFest will start at 10 a.m. and stay open until 4 p.m. at the Visitors Center. Bernheim members get in free, non-member just have to pay the $5 per car fee.
The annual Spring Plant Sale will happened from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature a variety of plants grown from Bernheim's own collections. There will also be a selection of other unique trees, shrubs, grasses and perennial herbaceous plants. All plants are suitable for north central Kentucky growing.
