LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Some people in Gaza are going to great lengths to satisfy their cravings for finger-licking good chicken.
The Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli blockade since 2007, and there are tight restrictions on Gazans who want to enter Egypt. That's become an opportunity for smugglers, who bring in KFC through a network of tunnels connecting Gaza to Egypt.
It's not really "fast" food -- it takes hours to arrive, and when you factor in the cost of fuel and transport, your chicken meal can cost about $35. But the smugglers have found plenty of customers who say the price is worth it.
