Louisville goes Reggae with a popular festival

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Reggae music and the smell of jerk seasoning makes you think you've transported your self to Montego Bay.

The Kentucky Reggae Festival is in full swing this weekend at the Water Tower on River Road.

The three-day festival is designed to bring true Caribbean atmosphere to the river city.

Bands, barbeque and a celebration of culture keep people dancing and in a good mood.

The Kentucky Reggae Festival has been held at the Louisville Water Tower for the last 22 years during Memorial Day weekend. It is a kickoff event to the popular Water Tower Music Series.

The Festival will feature top live reggae performers. At least ten musical acts are scheduled for the three day event .

Saturday and Sunday the Festival goes until 11:30 p.m. and Monday from 1 to 7 p.m.

Admission is $8 before 6 p.m. and $11 anytime after. Kids ten years old and under are free.

Pets and outside food or drink are not welcome.
