Louisville man allegedly stole 75-year-old's purse
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is facing felony charges after police say he burglarized the home of a 75-year-old woman, taking her purse and credit cards.
According to an arrest report, it happened on May 16. Police say someone kicked in the door of the 75-year-old's home on Dahl Road, near the intersection of Poplar Level Road and Gilmore Lane.
Police say her purse -- which contained several credit cards -- was stolen.
A short time after the burglary, police say 22-year-old Curtis Sondergeld attempted to withdraw money from the woman's BB&T bank account, using her credit card. His actions were recorded on surveillance video, according to an arrest report.
Police say a neighbor found Sondergeld's debit card near the woman's home.
The bank was also near the woman's home, according to police.
Sondergeld was arrested on May 24. He's been charged with burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card.
