Greenwood Cemetery to be cleaned

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's Attorney General's office is responding to a story we did about a Louisville cemetery left in disrepair.

The office says Greenwood Cemetery is in the process of being cleaned up.

After Memorial Day, the WDRB newsroom received several calls from upset families that visited the cemetery, only to find overgrown weeds.

A spokesperson says they've contracted with Dismas Charities in Louisville to keep the grounds maintained.

They now tell us Greenwood Cemetery, along with two other cemeteries with similar issues, Eastern and Schardein, should be back to normal by early June.
