Radio controlled planes take flight at the annual Wings for Kids Airshow

 Planes will take to the skies over the Bill Fluke Airfield in E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park for the Wings for Kids event on June 1 and 2, both days from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 15th annual event is hosted by the River City Radio Controllers and features radio controlled airplane flying exhibitions, including aerobatic airplanes, Warbirds from World War I and World War II, turbine-powered jet aircraft and scale vintage planes.

This event also features fun activities for the whole family, including a candy drop, inflatables and flight simulators.

The entry fee is $3 per person and $10 per car. Proceeds benefit Kosair Children's Hospital through the Children's Hospital Foundation.
