LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Firefighters resuscitated a man, after rescuing him from a burning home in the Highlands.
Crews were called to a house on Morton Avenue around 2 a.m. Friday. Firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor of the home.
They entered the building after witnesses told them someone was inside.
"They were able to locate and rescue an adult male occupant on the second floor," said Louisville Fire & Rescue Chief Greg Frederick. They removed him from the building, resuscitated him, and EMS transported him."
The man was taken to University Hospital. His condition is not known.
A firefighter was also taken to the hospital for heat-related injuries.
The second floor and attic of the home had major damage. The fire appears to have started on a second floor deck.
