Two accused of exchanging stolen merchandise for gift cards

LOUISVILLE. Ky. (WDRB) -- Two suspects faced a judge Wednesday morning, accused of returning stolen merchandise to Home Depot for thousands of dollars worth of gift cards.

David Gaitlin and Brianna Boone were arrested Tuesday night.

Both Gaitlin and Brianna pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning.

Police say they were part of an organized crime ring, and returned several hundred dollars worth of stolen merchandise to Home Depot.

Police also say they sold thousands of dollars worth of gift cards to Action Loans and Easy Cash Cards.

Gaitlin and Brianna are charged with engaging in organized crime and theft.
