Fifty to 75 Vintage Bicycles will roll into New Albany's Bicentennial Park on Saturday, June 22. The "Vintage Bicycle Exhibit and Parade" will celebrate New Albany's rich history and revisit some favorite childhood memories.
The Wheelman, a national organization dedicated to keeping the heritage of American cycling alive, will dress period costumes. At 1:45 p.m., there will be bicycle demonstrations. They will then lineup in chronological order for their parade up Main Street.
The Vintage Bicycle Parade will make stops at the Scribner House, the Culbertson Mansion and then at approximately 2:30 p.m. arrive at Division Street School. Division Street School is located at 1803 Conservative Street in New Albany and the Ice Cream Social is from 2 to 4.
New Albany's Living History Committee and The Wheelmen are sponsoring this vintage bicycle exhibit and parade as a way to bring New Albany's rich history to life in a fun, educational and enjoyable fashion.
