Woman pleads guilty to hindering prosecution

Posted: Updated:

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- An eastern Kentucky woman has pleaded guilty to hindering the prosecution of a man who killed his parents.

WYMT-TV reports Amanda Fannin entered the plea on Friday in Johnson Circuit Court. In exchange, prosecutors are recommending she serve three years in jail.

Prosecutors say Fannin hindered the prosecutor of her boyfriend, Willie Blanton, who pleaded guilty earlier this month to two counts of murder in the deaths of Larry and Sandra Blanton.

Their bodies were found in a shallow grave on their Johnson County farm in March, about five months after they were reported missing.

Formal sentencing was set for July 19.
