LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's Agriculture Commissioner may have may plans to take on the state's top job.
James Comer says he isn't ruling out a run to be Kentucky's governor. But, Comer says right now he's focused on running his department.
Comer has been dealing with a problem plagued department following the accusations against former Commissioner Richie Farmer.
One of his efforts to get the department back on it's feet, has been pushing to legalize industrial hemp in the state.
State lawmakers approved it, but the federal government would still need to lift restrictions on it.
If Comer decides to run as governor it would be in 2015.
