LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Rapper Master P is highlighting a growing problem in Louisville.
The Hip hop mogul is planning a documentary that will partially be filmed and produced in Louisville.
It will highlight the effects of chronic incarceration, and also show the impact violence has on youth.
Master P was raised in the projects. He says he wants to motivate the next generation to be able to overcome the obstacles they face.
"This is not just a movie or a film, we talk about compassion we talk about somebody that come from the streets. I got a brother dead, a brother incarcerated so I know on a first hand base what's going on," says Master P, "I would like to spread that love to the kids, to the babies and say lets instill something in them education, because that's what saved my life."
Master P says he chose Louisville because he's had a great experience here and because the city welcomed some of his family after Hurricane Katrina.
