Jeffrey Mundt learns his sentence

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- He was found not guilty of murder, but he'll still spend eight years behind bars for his role in a bizarre murder case involving sex and drugs.

Jeffrey Mundt was sentenced Wednesday morning after being convicted of tampering with evidence and criminal facilitation to robbery.

Mundt's former boyfriend, Joseph Banis, was convicted of killing James Carroll in an Old Louisville home.

During separate trials, both blamed each other for the murder.

Banis is serving a life sentence.
