LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have identified the body of a woman found along Interstate 65 near Elizabethtown, Ky., almost a month ago.
The word comes from police in Nashville, Tennessee.
Officers say the body is that of 27-year-old Madiha Roshdy of Nashville.
Police made the identification through fingerprints after they received a missing persons' report about the woman late last week.
"Family members in Egypt were concerned for her welfare," a Nashville police news release said.
Officers believe Roshdy's husband, Alaa Youssef, killed her in the family's apartment in Nashville and then dumped her body along I-65 sometime after May 26.
Police say she died of blunt force trauma to her head.
Police believe the husband and the couple's two children have since left Nashville for Egypt. They continue to seek Youssef for questioning and say he is a suspect.
Kentucky State Police circulated pictures of clothing and jewelry the woman wore in their attempts to identify the body. A mowing crew discovered it May 29.
