LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The president of an Oldham County car dealership says the recession is deep in his rearview mirror. Champion Chevrolet-Buick-GMC cut the ribbon Thursday morning at a new site in La Grange.
It's a remodel of the current facility and an expansion onto a new property across the street. Company President Fred Toldsorf explains, "It's an energy-efficient facility. We save a lot of electricity with our lighting and our AC and our heat and then we're the first dealership in Kentucky to use the all new plasma lights. We basically cut our energy usage by 50 percent and they're even brighter and the bulbs last for 10 years.
Champion recently earned an excellence award only given to the top 10 percent of GM dealers in the country.
