LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A three-vehicle crash on Crittenden Drive sent two people to the hospital and shut the road down for about an hour.

It happened in the 3000 block of Crittenden Drive by the Ramada Inn about 10:00 Wednesday morning.  Louisville Metro Police say the driver of a Pontiac was going northbound on Crittenden and crossed over into the southbound lanes, striking a Ford Escape head-on.

Police say the Escape began to spin and was T-boned by a pickup truck that had been going southbound on Crittenden.  The drivers of the Pontiac and the Escape went to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The pickup driver, according to police, had minor abrasions from an airbag, but refused treatment.

The drivers were the only people in each vehicle.

Crittenden Drive was shut down for about an hour while the scene was cleaned up.  The investigation into the crashes continues.
