LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Metrosafe officials say the leak from a CSX Rail car in the Osbourne Yards has been stopped. A tanker carrying 50 tons of anhydrous ammonia was discovered to have a small leak at the top of the car early Thursday morning. Officials had declared a "Level 2" HAZMAT, or hazardous materials situation. However, because of the holiday, there was no danger to the public and officials did not order any evacuations. The situation was cleared shortly after 10 Thursday morning and CSX crews took over the cleanup operations.
