LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown Police say a Louisville attorney is facing some legal problems of his own.

According to arrest reports, attorney John P. Owens was arrested at the Red Carpet Inn on S. Hurstbourne Pkwy., near the I-64 interchange, after police conducted an investigation into alleged narcotics and prostitution there.

Police say a confidential source told them Owens would be arriving at the motel to exchange narcotics -- specifically Klonopin pills -- for sex Wednesday evening.

Owens allegedly arrived shortly before 7 p.m. Police say they stopped him and found 31 Klonopin pills on his person and not in their proper container. They also allegedly found Hydrocodone pills, marijuana, a marijuana pipe and several condoms.

When police stopped him, Owens allegedly told them, "You got me."

He was less than 1,000 feet away from a daycare center at the time of the incident.

Owens was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prescription drug not in its proper container, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering for the purpose of prostitution.
