Frodo improving after leg amputation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---An abused dog, found tied to a fence on West Kentucky Street last week, is improving after leg amputation surgery.

Frodo had to have one of his back legs amputated on Friday.

By Saturday, he was moving around and seemed to be doing much better.

The pitbull was found last week with numerous injuries, and had duct tape wrapped around his mouth.

Rebecca Eaves with The Arrow Fund, believes Frodo was used for dog fighting.

"He was born an innocent puppy, and has been put in the most horrendous situations. The bite wounds on him, I couldn't even count,"

Eaves says Frodo still has a long way to go in his recovery process.

Donations can be made to the Arrow Fund to help pay for his expenses.

A $5,000 reward is also being offered by the Humane Society of the United States for information leading to an arrest in this case.
