LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two women are in serious condition after a wreck they were in shut down part of the Gene Snyder for a time.
It happened Wednesday morning in the northbound lanes of the Gene Snyder between LaGrange and Westport Roads.
Police say a black Honda Civic rear-ended the truck. The driver of the truck lost control and actually went over the cable barriers and into the median. The two women in the truck had to be extricated and were taken to the hospital.
The driver of the Civic is an 18-year-old woman who was not injured.
Investigators will look into why the accident happened, including factors such as speed, inattention, or impairment.
