Fort Knox soldier to remain in jail on rape charges

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Fort Knox soldier charged with raping a woman has been ordered to remain in jail.  A judge denied a bond motion for Sergeant 1st Class Felix Ayala because his commanding officer wasn't at Tuesday's hearing.

His attorneys wanted the 25-year military veteran to be confined at post pending his trial.

Radcliff Police say the woman told officers Ayala provided her alcohol and then raped her after she was drunk.  Ayala is assigned to the Army Cadet Command 1st Brigade.
