LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- University of Louisville President James Ramsey is getting a four percent pay raise and could get a big bonus. The Board of Trustees approved the raise Friday.
Board members initially recommended a six percent raise, but Ramsey requested the smaller pay hike, saying it was in line with the average salary increase for other faculty and staff.
Ramsey's salary last year was $600,000. His salary comes from the university and the U of L Foundation. In addition to the raise, it's recommended he get a $150,000 bonus.
The U of L Foundation will vote on that later this month.
