JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Police say two drivers were hurt in a crash on the north end of the Second Street bridge, also known as the Clark Memorial Bridge, in Jeffersonville, Ind.

A northbound passenger car apparently crossed the center line and struck a southbound pickup truck about 9:30 p.m., Jeffersonville police spokesman Todd Hollis said.  Both drivers were hurt; EMS took them to University of Louisville hospital for treatment.

An earlier report attributed to authorities that the accident involved a fatality may have been premature, Hollis said.

A female was driving the passenger car; a male was driving the truck, Hollis said.  Identities, their specific conditions and other details were not available late Thursday.

Jeffersonville Police confirm all lanes have reopened to traffic.

The crash closed the bridge for several hours.  Police reconstructionists were taking photos and making measurements as part of their investigation.
