BROOKSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Authorities say two people died in a house fire in Bracken County.
The Kentucky State Police said Saturday that two bodies were recovered at the scene of the early morning fire at a two-story house in Powersville, a community outside of Brooksville. The bodies have not been identified.
Fire crews, the sheriff's office and the local coroner went to the scene of the fire. Crews were searching for possible additional victims and trying to determine the cause of the fire.
Trooper David Jones said authorities received a call about the fire at 3:45 a.m. Jones said one person was injured and was being treated at a hospital in stable condition.
The road was expected to be shut down for several hours.
