LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville caregiver has been arrested after she allegedly abused a 77-year-old wheelchair-bound woman.

According to an arrest warrant, the incident took place sometime between July 8 and July 9. Police say 31-year-old Erica Carter was providing care for the woman.

Police say Carter and the woman's son -- an alleged accomplice -- became angry because the elderly woman would not give them a blank check above what they are paid weekly to care for the woman.

That's when Carter allegedly grabbed the woman's upper arm so tightly that she caused fingerprint bruising.

Carter was arrested on Friday afternoon and charged with knowingly abusing or neglecting an adult, according to court documents.
