LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Olympic silver medalist and Kentucky native Tyson Gay says he will take his punishment like a man.

This comes after Gay tested positive for a banned substance.

Gay has been a leading American in the 100 and 200 meter dashes for years. Now, he says he'll pull out of next month's World Championships in Moscow.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Gay said "I don't have anything to say to make this seem like it was a mistake. I basically put my trust in someone and was let down," Gay continued, "I will take whatever punishment I get like a man."

Gay also went on to say "I'm going to be honest with USADA, about everything, everybody I've been with, every supplement I've ever taken, every company I've ever dealt with, everything."

Gay owns the US 100 meter record and the three fastest 100 times in the world this year.
