LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A hammer, a pry tool, two pairs of wire snips and 3-4 feet of copper.

That's what police say 37-year-old Shane Black had in his possession when they found him on the property of Pleasure Ridge Park High School shortly before midnight Monday.

According to an arrest report, officers saw Black walking on the property on Greenwood Road, east of Terry Road. Police say Black was walking away from the school sign, when he saw the police car, turned back toward the school sign and placed a bag in a nearby flower bed, walking away from it.

There was a warrant for Black's arrest, according to police.

An officer searched the bag, which Black claimed was not his. Police say they found a hammer, a pry tool, two pairs of wire snips and 3-4 feet of copper inside the bag.

Black was questioned about the contents of the bag, according to the arrest report, but he refused to explain why he placed the bag in the flower bed, or where the copper came from.

"It should also be noted that there is a lot of construction going on at this high school," police say.

Black was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and possession of burglary tools. Both charges are misdemeanors.
