Louisville Ford plants running at maximum capacity, says VP

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Vice President of North American manufacturing for Ford has words of success for both Louisville plants.

Ford Vice President Jim Tetreault says both Louisville Ford plants are running at maximum capacity.

Tetreault told an audience of local business leaders On Tuesday morning that sales of both the Super Duty Trucks, which are made at the Kentucky truck plant, and the Escape, which are manufactured at the Louisville assembly plant, are both extremely strong.

Ford says sales of its cars and trucks were up 14% in June from the previous year.

The company now has a total of 8100 workers at its two Louisville plants.
