LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville and University of Kentucky will meet at noon on Saturday, Sept. 14, in a game to be telecast by ESPN, according to a UK release today.
The Wildcats announced TV and kickoff times for their first three games this afternoon. They will open the season against Western Kentucky at LP Field in Nashville with a 7 p.m. kickoff televised by ESPNNews. Their home opener will be against Miami (Ohio) at noon on Sept. 7, televised by ESPN.
U of L will open the season with two home games: against Ohio University on Sept. 1 at 3:30 p.m., and against Eastern Kentucky on Sept. 14 at noon.
U of L returns the bulk of a team coming off a victory over Florida in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. UK will be playing under a new coaching staff led by head coach Mark Stoops.
The Golden Nugget casino in Las Vegas has made U of L a 14-point favorite over UK. The Cardinals are double-digit favorites in every game they will play, except for the season-finale against Cincinnati.
