LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County prosecutor has been suspended for three days over an e-mail he allegedly sent.
Assistant Jefferson County Attorney Ben Wyman also faces an investigation by the Kentucky Bar Association.
Wyman sent an e-mail to Jefferson Family Court Judge Eleanore Garberg in March, saying Andrew Stich had been charged with drunk driving five times and had recently failed a drug test.
The judge talked about receiving the letter in the court hearing, which you can see in the above video.
Wyman was prosecuting that man on drunk driving and resisting arrest charges.
The judge and others involved agree the e-mail violated state Supreme Court rules forbidding attorneys from one-sided contact with a judge to influence the outcome of a pending case.
