Woman shot over parking space now making plea to stop the violence

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---Jasmine Willis was shot on June 13th in front of her apartment on Del Park Terrace.

She spent more than a week at the hospital, and says at one time was in a medically induced coma.

Police say she got into an argument with a man over a parking spot, and he followed her home.

Willis says he brought a woman to fight her, and she was then shot in the chest with her 7-year-old standing nearby.

She's making a plea to stop the violence.

"The guns, just put them down. It's not worth it. It's not worth nobody's life over something so small and petty," says Jasmine Willis.

We're told the person responsible for shooting Willis is currently behind bars.
