LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Attorneys representing Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and the ethics committee will argue why Fischer and two committee members shouldn't be forced to testify in the ethics trial for Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin.
Shanklin's ethics trial is set to start Tuesday morning.
She's accused of using her position and power to benefit her family and friends. She claims she did nothing wrong.
The council court will hear from those seeking to quash subpoenas tomorrow.
It's not clear if Fischer will be called to testify, but his general counsel will be hand.
Shanklin's attorney Aubrey Williams and prosecutor David Tachau still need to exchange evidence.
Those are some of the issues that will be addressed during a hearing tomorrow afternoon.
