LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man after he got into an argument and displayed a handgun over a $3 transaction charge.
It happened at the food mart near the corner of W. Broadway and Dixie Highway, shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say 22-year-old Jerrell Dickerson attempted to purchase merchandise with a credit card, but became angry after the clerk told him there would be a $3 transaction charge. That's when Dickerson began to argue with the clerk, lifted up his shirt and displayed a black handgun.
The clerk felt "uneasy and frightened" about the situation, as did other store patrons who walked into the store during the incident, police say.
Dickerson allegedly fled the scene, but was stopped by police, who found a handgun loaded with 10 rounds in the car Dickerson was in, as well as a six-inch-long pocket knife on Dickerson's person.
He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
