LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a second man in connection with an armed robbery outside a business near St. Matthews last week.

According to a news release from LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, LMPD officers from the 2nd Division arrested 21-year-old Rashad Marques Breeding on Wednesday.

Breeding now faces two counts of robbery. Mitchell says Breeding already has an outstanding warrant for theft by unlawful taking.

Police say the victim and another man struggled with Breeding as he and his accomplice, Anthony McKinley, tried to take her purse in the early morning hours of July 17 in the parking lot of the Meridian Cafe.

That's when police say Breeding shot the woman in the arm.

The woman and another man went to a nearby restaurant and called for help. The woman was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

McKinley was arrested last week after he was allegedly caught on surveillance video using a stolen debit card.

Breeding was arraigned Thursday morning. He pleaded not guilty to two charges of armed robbery. He already had an outstanding warrant for theft by unlawful taking.
