LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man now is behind bars after fatal shooting a in West Louisville early Sunday morning.
LMPD officials say 22-year-old Kyle Chambers was arrested in Dubois County, Ind. LMPD Spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said detectives were able to make the arrest after gaining an arrest warrant after gathering information in connection with the homicide.
Chambers, who is a resident of Huntingburg, Ind., is currently being held behind bars in Dubois County, according to LMPD officials. The arrest comes after a teenager was fatally shot on 35th and Broadway near Walgreen's.
Police say the shooting happened just after midnight. They victim was rushed to University Hospital. Police say they are still searching for the person that took the teen to the hospital.
The Coroner says 17-year-old Darius D. Miller, Jr. died at University Hospital due to a gun shot wound Sunday morning.
