LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Five shootings have occurred in four days in Louisville and police are still searching for suspects in some of those crimes.
Early Sunday morning, police were called to a scene near the intersection of Central Ave. and Taylor Blvd. Police say they were told a man was found dead on the street.
LMPD Spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the victim, Dennis L. Holland, had been shot at least one time. Earlier Sunday morning, around 12:30, Smiley said they responded to a call of a shooting at 35th and Broadway where a teen was injured.
Smiley said that teenager was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but died later Sunday morning.
Another fatal shooting occurred on Saturday morning at Clay and Broadway Streets as well. The weekend shootings follow two separate shootings which happened on Thursday. Smiley said they had no reason to suspect the shootings were related.
Of those five shootings, police are still searching for suspects in four of them.
"As always, we are asking for anyone with information to call 574-LMPD," Smiley said.
Neighbors near the Taylor Blvd. incident said they were tired of hearing of all the shootings.
"It's just crazy," said Addam Wilson, a South Louisville resident.
"People need to think about those people's families before they do things like that."
