LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Bar Association is accepting donations for its annual project that helps JCPS students in free or reduced lunch programs.
The Back 2 School project seeks out such students to make sure its donations reach the students most in need. Those donations this year will go to Frayser, Roosevelt-Perry, Gilmore Lane, Semple, and Cane Run elementary schools.
The project is asking for donations of crayons, notebooks, folders, pencils, markers, rulers, scissors or cash. $35 provides a backpack filled with a year's worth of supplies. Donations are tax deductible and checks should be made payable to the Louisville Bar Center.
You can drop off contributions at the Louisville Bar Association at 600 West Main Street or schedule them for pickup through Monday, August 19. The 2013 JCPS school year begins the next day, on August 20.
For additional information about the Back 2 School project, contact Public Service Director Kate Lindsay at email@example.com or (502) 583-5314.
